20 Things we can affirm about the LORD

The Lord is  …

1. Our Creator. Col.1:16 – “For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth …all things have been created through Him and for Him.”
2. Our Savior. Titus 3:4-5 – “But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.”
3. Our Refuge. Ps.46:1- “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
4. Our Comfort. 2 Cor.1:3-4 – “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”
5. Our Helper. Heb.13:6 – “So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?’”
6. Our Sustainer. Heb.1:3 – “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.” 
7. Our Healer. Ex.15:26 – “I am the LORD, who heals you.”
8. Our Delight. Ps.43:4 – “Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my joy and my delight.”
9. Our Joy. Neh.8:10 – “The joy of the Lord is your strength.”
10. Our Peace. Heb.2:14 – “For He himself is our peace.”
11. Our Hope. Ps.43:5 – “Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.”
12. Our Provider. Phil.4:19 – “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
13. Our Strength. Is.40:28-29 – “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”
14. Our Wisdom. Col.2:2-3 – “Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”
15. Our Righteousness. Jer.23:6 – “And this is the name by which he will be called: The Lord our Righteousness.”
16. Our Redeemer. 1 Cor.1:30 – “It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.”
17. Our Life. Col.3:4 – “When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”
18. Our Light. Jn.8:12 – “Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.’”
19. Our Salvation. Ps.27:1 – “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?”
20. Our Deliverer. 1 Cor.10:13 – “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”
